|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This cemetery location has had a long history and has used many names. The Native American mound at the site is believed to be a remnant of the Adena culture, 1000 to 200 years BC. Early Ohioan burials occurred during the 1830's and 1840's, documented by photos and memorials for this site. Some maps named the location Flagstone Cemetery; other references use Flagg Spring Cemetery. Ohio state death certificates issued during the 1940's listed the location as I.O.O.F. (International Order of Odd Fellows) Cemetery. In 1973, the Odd Fellows' Cemetery Mound was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
