|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The site of this pioneer cemetery is adjacent to the Genesee river at the eastern end of the village of Portageville, but has been unused for many years. The area has been flooded frequently, the site is overgrown with bushes and trees and the stones scattered. The gravestone inscriptions here were obtained in 1951 and 1952. In instances the stones were dug from the earth. Doubtless there are other stones buried in the debris.
