|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Corner of Lula and Third Street in Scott City Missouri.
Land for this cemetery was purchased April 2, 1848 by the Eisleben Lutheran Church and members of the first families who came from Germany. The original log church was built here in 1855 and the cemetery and church were used for about 20 years. The congregation built a new chuch and relocated in 1868 to Illmo, a city just a short distance to the east. This cemetery was used for many years and has burials of some who died after 1868, especially if other family members were already interred here. Also, burials were allowed for other than Lutheran Church members.
Two special plaques have been added to the cemetery and may be viewed in the accompanying photos. They are seen at the top of the hill above the cemetery.
