|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The first funeral in Raymond was for Mrs. Leone Rythers around 1883. The burial was on a hill south of town. It wasn't until 1888 that a burial was made in what is now the Prairie Valley Cemetery. This was Ferdinand Schoepp's eight-month old daughter, Ella Louise. The cemetery was surveyed and platted by James M. Raymond, County Surveyor, in 1899.
