|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
From I-40 near Lebanon, take the TN-109 exit, EXIT 232, towards Gallatin. Go about 7.0 mi on TN-109 and turn right onto Double Log Cabin Road. Then go 0.9 mi and turn right onto Gwynn Rd. The cemetery is about 3/4 mile on the right (West side) of Gwynn Road. The small cemetery is not easily seen from Gwynn Road.
The cemetery has a low concrete wall around the graves and is inside a small chain linked fence. It is just inside a larger fenced cattle pasture. The cemetery is not well kept but is protected from cattle. The property owner did not know of anyone still in the area that were relatives. There is a house and driveway adjacent and to the right of the pasture. The pasture belongs to that house owner. You have to climb over the pasture fence, so you should contact the property owner and ask permission first.
Judith (Wynn) Gwynn was the sister of my 2nd great grandfather Ridley Wynn who went to Tishomingo County, MS. I was told that Robert and Judith Gwynn had owned a large acreage there, thus Gwynn Road. A very small part of their original house is supposed to be part of the beautiful home that is there today.
