This small cemetery sits on Highway 44 in Homer, Rush County, Indiana. There are some stones in this cemetery that were moved here from Hurst Cemetery. As far as I know the bodies of those people remain in Hurst Cemetery. Only the stones were moved.
The picture added here is the stone mentioning the old tombstones that were in Hurst Cemetery. The picture with the stones laying flat all together are the tombstones that were moved to Homer Cemetery from the Hurst Cemetery. For those people: Alonzo C. Hilligoss, his other Amanda (Boosby) Hilligoss, Elender Jones, James Hurst, Elizabeth Ann Heaton, Landay Hurst, Landay Hurst (the Elder of Church), wife Sarah (Crane) Hurst, Fielding Hurst and Lavina Peters plese see Hurst Cemetery, Rush County, Indiana.
I have put the names and pictures in that Cemetery since their bodies remain there. |
