|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Heisterbach Abbey (Kloster Heisterbach) was a Cistercian monastery in the Siebengebirge near Oberdollendorf in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. On it's ground is the Mausoleum of the Counts of Lippe-Biesterfeld, a lower feudal branch of the House of Lippe: Grafen zu Lippe-Biesterfeld. Note the prefix "zur" rather than "von".
The original basilica of the abbey has been destroyed, a piece of the nave is still present today.
New buildings had been constructed over the years. In 1820 the Counts of Lippe purchased the property and added a garden park as well as stables.
