|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Wake County Home for the Aged and Infirm was located on Whitaker Mill in the Five-Points area of Raleigh. Close to 300 people, mostly residents of the Home, were buried in a county owned plot there (behind Emmanuel Baptist Church) between 1915-1976. Due to the efforts of a local newspaper and local historians and researchers, these forgotten people have been documented and a memorial was erected in their memory.
