This burial place is referenced to in the book "Vital Records of Dartmouth, Massachusetts to 1850" Published by: New England Historic Genealogical Society as G.R.39 (Acushnet Cemetery - established in the reign of Queen Anne in the old township of Dartmouth).
Acushnet was a part of Dartmouth until 1787. Acushnet was then a part of New Bedford until 1812. Acushnet was then a part of Fairhaven until 1860, when it became a town.
