    To reach the Marietta Cemetery from Evergreen (Conecuh County), drive south on Hwy-31 toward the Town of Castleberry. At the CR-23 junction turn right and drive another 1.04 miles to Marietta Cemetery Road (on the left). Turn here and drive on a hard clay path some 700 feet. There will be a large metal gate at the edge of a wooded area and the road makes a sharp turn to the left. Continue on the path down a hill and then up the grade another 375 feet. The cemetery is at the top of the hill. The gravesites are scattered throughout the area.



    If driving from Brewton (Escambia County) on Hwy-31 there will be a caution light at the center of the Town of Castleberry. Continue onward from the caution light for 1.04 mile to the junction of CR-23. Follow the above instructions to Marietta Cemetery Road and turn left.



    The cemetery area is clear of underbrush and driving through to the various burial plots is easy and permissible. While some 150 graves are identified, another 100+ are not.
