|End of School House Street|
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
There are three separate cemeteries at the end of School House Street in Columbia. It is considered to be Cemetery Street, but there are no signs and that name does not appear on most maps.
The three cemeteries have separate gates, are fenced off from each other, and from left to right are:
Columbia Odd Fellows Cemetery
Columbia Masonic Cemetery
Columbia Public Cemetery
Please make sure you have the correct cemetery when adding memorials.
The Odd Fellows Cemetery was first used in 1855, when they first established their boundaries north and west of the Masonic Cemetery. The records for all three cemeteries have been burned or lost several times.
This cemetery includes the GAR section (plots 80 to 83 and 119 thru 146), the Grand Army of the Republic Post 141, founded 1866, in its north east corner.
Odd Fellows Plots are: 41-54, 99-118, 140-144, 162-239
GAR Plots are: 80-83, 119-139, and possibly 145-146
Public Plots (which appear to be in the Odd Fellows section) are: 1-40, 55-79, 84-98, 147-161
