St. Patricks Church in Mt. Savage MD was built in 1863 and replaced St. Ignatius Church, which stood at the site of the church cemetery from 1793 to 1863. A photograph of the plaque commemorating the first mass by Rev. Stephen Theodore Badin lies at the entrance to the cemetery.
