Cemetery notes and/or description:
A printed manual exists for the FREEBORN CEMETERY (Section 35, Freeborn Township). This manual is a Compilation from 1858-2007 with Anecdotal Information Pertaining to Freeborn and the Area."

This manual includes obituaries and death notices printed in the papers and was compiled by Bonnie Schuster, Editor of Freeborn Frisbie, 2007

FREEBORN CEMETERY ASSOCIATION - Was originally organized in June, 1872, when the grounds were laid out containing six acres, just north of the village of Freeborn, in section thirty-five, the land being donated to the project by L.G. Pierce; it is well adapted by nature for a "lasting resting place," and the natural beauty has been enhanced by the improvements, fencing, etc. The first burial here was of the remains of Mrs. E.S. Dunn, in 1858, some twelve years prior to the organization of the association.--1882 HISTORY OF FREEBORN COUNTY MINNESOTA, Page 436
