Chirstian Union Location; Village of Marshall, Marshall Twp. remarks; On Sept. 26, 1870 in original book 51, pg 385, Highland Co. deed records, John L. Hughes and Elizabeth his wife conveyed eighty poles or one half acre of land to the elders of the Marshall Congregation of the Christian Union Church. The deed states, in part; "for the use and benefit of the members of said congregation to be used as a burying ground..." |
