|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Harriman Cemetery Began as an Extended Family Cemetery and then as the years past became open to all those who died in the general area. It is often referred to as the Prospect Ferry Cemetery. It sometimes is referred to as the Batchelder Cemetery, due to a previous generations attempt to name the cemetery. The story goes, that most of the Harriman Stones were overgrown and hidden in growth. The only name that was visible was that on the crypt at the back. The Name Batchelder was clearly visible. Thus began it being referred to as the Batchelder Cemetery. The earliest graves belong to the Harrimans who lived nearby. So the honor goes to them. Those names without photos I have included, because there are no longer stones to mark these graves.
