As described in the list of Davie County Cemeteries The Cemetery for the Anderson Family is located in a heavily wooded knoll south of Captain Charles Anderson house off Calahaln road Davie County on the East Side of Hunting Creek Anderson Calahaln Farm approimatly 8 miles from Mocksville, Davie County . Charles Anderson served in the Colonial Army in Virginia during the Revolution. He first settled in Buckingham County , Virginia where some of his children where born. Later He moved his family to Old Rowan County present day Calahaln, Davie where he purchased property to have a plantation. There is a Memorial Marker to Captain Charles Anderson here but no proof that the marker is his headstone. Captain Anderson was born on "Goldmine Plantation" Hanover County, Virginia where he is reported to have returned & visited before his death. Anderson Family WEB site list his place of death as his home in Davie County.
