|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Temple Sinai, Oakland's first synagogue bought this small tract of land from Mountain View Cemetery in 1865, and in the 1880's officially acquired the cemetery. The entrance is just inside the main gate of Mountain View to the left, but it is not owned by Mountain View. It also has a fair sized very nice indoor mausoleum and an adjacent chapel for services. There is one newer section within Mountain View but all maintenance and interments are done by Home of Eternity's caretakers and it's records are with the Temple.
Any memorials created here that show burial at Mountain View are incorrect and should be transferred over to here).
