|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Jewish cemetery of Bochum is located on Water St. (Wasserstrasse) in the Wiemelhausen district in Bochum. The first burials took place in this Jewish cemetery in 1918.
The funeral hall of brick began construction in 1917. 52 tombs are victims of forced labor in Bochum and Wattenscheid, 2 urns are victims from the Oranienburg concentration camp and the Dachau concentration camp.
In 1954, graves were reburied here, as two Jewish cemeteries were abandoned because of the construction of the Bochum main station.
