Cemetery notes and/or description:
Ebenzer and Hope Cemeteries are adjacent to each other as they are so named on maps. Locally they are known as the Black burying grounds but there was no church at this site.Up until several years ago, the grounds were maintained annually but since then some vandalism has occurred. There are many apparent graves, some marked with fieldstones. There are the only markers found:

Simon Fisher b. 15 Oct 1826 SS
James S. d. 4 Sept 1906 age 22 SS
Emma Dillard d. 24 May 1931 Mother
Sarah Cooper 24 Jan 1848- 31 Mar 1918 Mother
Footstone with initials M.M.

A Pacific newspaper item on January 30,1903 noted the death of Robert Stanley of Allenton who is buried in Ebenezer.

May they all rest in peace..C.H.

New note:
Ebenzer is a Black cemetery est 1901 on 1 acre of ground.
Hope is a white cemetery est. 1901 on 1 acre of ground.
These were free public cemeteries. The only known white person is a male: Marshal Monday stepson of Max Selpta died 1905 at age 22.
