Some of the burials took place before the village of Amanda was laid out, as early as 1810. The alias "Potter's Cemetery" comes from the fact that several members of the Potter family are buried there.
The cemetery is located in Lemon Township, Butler County, Ohio, and is #1279 (Amada Cemetery) in “Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003”, compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
The cemetery is registered with the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing (ODRE) as Amada Cemetery with registration license number CGR.0000980343.
