This cemetery, across from Sonny Dawson's campground (ca. 2006), is not maintained, in very poor condition and overgrown with brush. Its burials date from between 1809 and 1860.
There is one large memorial stone (placed there in 1949, see attached photo) and the rest are field stones with letters and dates scratched into them. The Memorial stone reads:
"IN MEMORY OF NICHOLAS LEATHERMAN
WHO MOVED FROM FREDERICK MD IN 1784, DIED 1790.
HE WITH RELATIVES ARE BURIED HERE.
ALL LEATHERMANS IN THIS SECTION ARE HIS DESCENDENTS.
THIS MONUMENT ERECTED TO HIS MEMORY BY THEM IN 1942."
As of 2006, there is a large old board on the ground at the entry to the cemetery that at one time had been an archway to the entrance.
There appear to be a total of 29 graves at this site. Layout of field stones:
Row 1 has 5 unmarked fieldstones
Row 2 has five graves, 4 unmarked and one marked H. L
Row 3 has eight graves, one field stone marked M. L.
N.L. 1809 65 years old died Oct. 5, 1809 (believed to be Nicholas Leatherman, Sr.)
S.L.D. Sept. 3, 1811 Age 84 years (believed to be Susanna "Susie" Roderick Leatherman. "Age 84 years" must be wrong, as "Susie" was younger then Nicholas, perhaps as much as 10 years. She must have been 64 when she died.)

M.J.L. born Sept 7, 1840 died AD 1849, age 9 years old
T.L. died AD 1835 age 1 year 6 months
Row 5 Jono. L. of L. born AD 1805 , died July 9 AD 1850, age 46 years
Row 6 H.L.D. died in April 16, 1854, age 52 years
Row 7 has three graves, one unmarked,
The Page Dec AD 1840 , 18 months
E. Page died AD Jan. 1845.
