This is the Orthodox Graveyard, Not Birmingham Friends Meetinghouse at 1245 Birmingham Road also known as Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery.
Birmingham Orthodox Meeting House was built in 1845 as a result of the Hicksite-Orthodox split. The two meetinghouses rejoined in 1923. The Orthodox Meetinghouse was sold in 1938 for use as a private residence.
"Two Hundred Fifty Years of Quakerism at Birmingham"
12th Month 23rd, 1874. The committee report they have purchased of Jesse Garrett a lot containing about one-eighth acre for the sum of $15.00 and the obligation to keep it fenced and vested the title in the trustees for the meeting property. This lot together with the part of the meeting house yard they had enclosed for a burying ground by an iron fence at an expense of $562.50.
