|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Alnwick Abbey was a Premonstratensian (Roman Catholic White Canon) Abbey founded in 1147 by Eustace FitzJohn as a daughter house of the Newhouse Abbey in Lincolnshire. It was dissolved in the Reformation in 1536, and completely suppressed in 1539, granted to the Sadler and Winninton families. All that remains is the gatehouse.
