Church of the Holy Cross (Roman Catholic)
The old church of Killea (Cill Aodha — Aodh's Church) is thought to have been built in the twelfth century and one wall still stands, opposite the Roman Catholic Church of The Holy Cross.
The Church of the Holy Cross is located on the top of the hill at Killea. It is more than 200ft above sea level and has a stunning view of Hook Head and the Saltee Islands. It is of cruciform design and was built probably about 1820 and since then has been in continuous use.
