|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Some of the original members of St Paul's came from one of the first churches in the area, New Hannover Church (1846 to 1871) The first services were probably held in homes of members. In 1866, the new congregation was formed. Having no building of its own; they worshiped for about a year in a little log church located at Bostelmann's Corners (US Route 6 & County Road 17). On February 26,1867, Henry Precht & his wife Louise sold a 1/2 acre plot on the Northwest corner of what are now Roads 17 and Q-1 for $15. The church was built that same year. In 1871 a 'storm of strife' broke out and divided the congregation, but in 1882 the two factions healed and merged back together along with Zion Lutheran Church (1848-1882)congregation.
