Cemetery notes and/or description:
Originally known as Porter's Burial Ground, this land has been a cemetery since the mid-18th century. Veterans of the French & Indian War, Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War and Spanish-American War are among those interred here. Two captains who commanded at the Lexington Alarm of 1775, Jeremiah Page and Edmund Putnam, and one man wounded in that battle, Nathan Putnam, rest here. The 1902 three-inch field gun was dedicated in 1938 as a memorial to Danver's Spanish-American War veterans Town of Danvers - formerly Salem Village - Scene of the Witchcraft Delusion of 1692

This cemetery is known as GR8 High Street Cemetery in the "Vital Records of Danvers Massachusetts to the end of the year 1849. Volume II, Marriages and Deaths"
