And to accomadate the south part of the Town, Mr. Increase Leadbetter, being in Town-Meeting, did agree to sell half an acre of his field adjoining the road, the Town to make one Division wall said to be about ten rods, and pay him five dollars as a consideration for the Same... which was likewise agreed to by the Town." (Page 409 of the 1789 Town Records reporting the September 3rd adjourned meeting that was held on the "last Monday of this Instant Sept.")
