|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
It has been said that the land where the cemetery is situated was formerly owned by the late State Representative William L. Gardner. It is now on (very) private property, and due to lack of care, 100+ years of weather, and abuse by animals, the cemetery is basically abandoned and overgrown. For a short while in late 1999 or early 2000, it was cleaned out, so we were allowed to rush in and take photographs and measurements. By now, it is probably overgrown again.
At least 53 marked and unmarked grave sites were detected in February 2000; however, it is very likely that there are many more, including slave graves.
