Cemetery notes and/or description:
Knox Chapel Cemetery was established in 1853 and is associated with Cabot United Methodist Church
It is a small cemetery, approx. one acre, at the corner of North Pike Rd. (Rt. 356) and Winfield Rd. in Winfield Twp., Butler Co., PA
There are FOUR markers with only the word "UNKNOWN" in the cemetery. They appear to be replacements for old, broken stones. Only the base of the old stones remain. There is also ONE marker with "UNKNOWN SOLDIER" and a GAR flag holder beside an old base. |
