Cemetery notes and/or description:
2/23/12: The Rose Hill Cemetery at Palmer, Merrick County, Nebraska was established by the trustees of the Loup Valley Cemetery Association when Benjamin and Susanna Alspaugh deeded land for $ 1.00 "for the use and benefit of a public burial ground" on June 19, 1878. Their 5-year-old daughter, Sellissa Alspaugh, is buried there. She died December 10, 1873.
The oldest surviving marker found in the cemetery is that of Robert McCann, November 29, 1872.
