Cemetery notes and/or description:
Christ Church Anglican (Mimico) started burials in 1834-1860. The church burned down in 2007, and all that is left right now is a spot where the church was, and the graves beyond. The churchyard stretches from the north side to Windsor Street, 1 street east of Royal York Road. There is a recording of the graves at the Ontario Genealogical Societ of 101 records, but 500 graves were there at one point. It is to be made into a park. There is plenty of parking right now, if you want to park near the site, at the Mimico Go Station lot. The location is just north of the Railway Bridge, over Royal York Road. |
