Cemetery notes and/or description:
From intersection of FM 664 and FM 983 in Ferris: Go west on FM 664 .3 mi. to Ewing St. Turn north (right) on Ewing and it will end at Ferris Rd. in front of cemetery.
Ferris Memorial Park North & Ferris Memorial Park South are two distinct cemeteries, not "sections" of the same cemetery. FMPN is north of the southern cemetery in a residential area. North is the "new" cemetery.
FMPS is on the Farm Road. South is the "old" cemetery and has been subject to much vandalism. North is the "new" cemetery.
On many death certificates, the Ferris cemetery was referred to as just "Park," which has generated much confusion over the years for researchers. |
