|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Peshoff Cemetery is the place of rest for the family of Edward & Laurmie (Daigle) Peshoff. The earliest marked grave appears to be that of Edward & Laurmie's oldest son, Joseph Marcelain ("Marcel") Peshoff, who died in 1891 at the age of 25 or 26.
The Peshoff family cemetery is located at the end of a small, unpaved road, off of Cameron Parish Road 388, east of Cameron, La. and west of the intersection of La. Highways 27 and 82.
Tombstones in this cemetery were initially transcribed on 18 April 1991 by Roland Heddins (great-grandson of Joseph Lusignon Daigle--sister of Laurme Daigle Peshoff). There were at least four additional unmarked graves under concrete slabs at the time of inventory. A few additional entries were added based on internet searches of obituaries.
