Le Claire Park is a Davenport city park located on the Mississippi River levee in downtown Davenport between the Davenport Skybridge and Modern Woodmen Park, south of the riverfront railroad tracks. It is mostly green space, with a few picnic shelters and a recreational trail. The National Register of Historic Places listed William D. Petersen Memorial Pavilion, AKA Le Claire Park Band Shell, is at the western end of the park, while the NRHP listed Municipal Inn, AKA Levee Inn, is on the eastern border of the park. Memorials to pioneer Antoine Le Claire and Davenport businessman William D. Petersen, as well as a monument marking the location of the signing of the Black Hawk Treaty, are located in the south central area of the park near the river. A memorial to legendary jazz musician Bix Beiderbecke, including a cenotaph for Don O'Dette (founder of the Bix Beiderbeck Memorial Jazz Society), is near the Band Shell. Though prone to Mississippi River flooding, the park is the regular home of many music festivals, including the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival and the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival.
