Cemetery notes and/or description:
Paradise Cemetery, aka Dunkard Cemetery, is located about two miles south of Jasper, Missouri on 71 Highway. The cemetery is on the grounds of the old Dry Fork Church of the Brethren. A number of death certificates (particularly from the early 1900's) call Paradise Cemetery "Brethren Cemetery". NOTE: Summerset Cemetery, also in Jasper County, was also known as Brethren Cemetery (particularly in the early 1900's), so it is imperative to research any burials listed as Brethren Cemetery to determine which of these cemeteries is the correct place of burial.
Paradise Cemetery is well maintained and is still being used for new burials.
