|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Directions: From US Hwy. 167 overpass in downtown Alexandria, take LA Hwy. 1 toward Marksville and go approximately 20.0 miles to the small community of Echo. Turn left at the caution light, and St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church is on the left in the middle of the block. The very large cemetery is fenced and located directly behind the church. Also behind and to the left of the church is a small Mausoleum. A road turns left at the end of the church property and continues the length of the east fence, turns left at the north fence and continues back to Hwy. 1. There is a walk-in entrance
in the center of the east fence, and a driveway divides the cemetery in half with an open entrance from the center of the North fence to a gate on the south side near the
church. Neither entrance is locked. Almost all of the burials in this cemetery are in vaults or concrete slabs.
A brick mausoleum is just outside the fenced cemetery area in the rear of the Church. It is open from front to back, and burials are in four tiers on both sides of the center aisle area. There is one burial in the floor area.
