|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Free Church with which this cemetery was associated was torn down in the 1920's. Many of the families buried here were involved with the clam and oyster business in Port Washington.
It was said by a Mrs. Bess Dodge that many children of the tug boat captains were buried on the eastern slope of the cemetery but have no head stones.
Some families moved their loved ones remains to Nassau Knolls Cemetery in Port Washington after this one fell into disrepair.
