On new Rte 86 on the western side of the road a short distance south of the intersection with SR-1723.
Additional information: A memorial marker was erected by descendants and family friends on August 23, 1942, to 38 men who served in the Revolutionary War. The names are listed in the regular listing; 7 of them were buried in the Old New Hope Cemetery. In 1966 the Johnston Family Cemetery was transferred intact (36 graves and memorial stones) from Greenhill Plantation on Turkey Farm Road (SR-1730) to the northern end of the New Hope Cemetery, where it was surrounded by a coping. There is an obelisk with some family names. In 1975 there were 393 burials in this cemetery.
