Cemetery notes and/or description:
This is a small cemetery back of the Methodist Church in Reading. Several stones are broken leaning against a large stone. Broken gravestones are stacked on all sides of this obelisk; I'm estimating there are between 35-50 individual stones. Their plints are still intact in situ, but putting them back in their correct places would be a nightmare. The Town of Reading should be ashamed to let this continue without attempting to resolve the original burial spots wherever possible. |
