|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This White cemetery is likely actually located a few feet across the county line in Winston County. However, it can only be accessed from Noxubee County. Here are directions to get to it:
State highway 14 runs between Macon and Louisville, MS.
From the court house in Macon on that highway, it is 11.6 miles to the Mashulaville turn off. There will be a sign that says Mashulaville. However, there is no highway number there, but the street-type road sign at the intersection will tell you that you have turned onto Highway 490 Road. Go 1.9 miles to Butler road which turns to the left and turn onto it. Continue 3.8 miles to the first end of the Higginbotham Loop. Turn right onto that road; it is a very narrow dirt road. Go .7 mile and turn left and go past the chicken houses. Continue 1.1 miles and you have reached the cemetery.
You cannot see if from the road, but there is an obvious opening there and if you are careful you can drive to the gate of the cemetery with no problem.
There are several graves marked only by rocks and a few that are marked only by illegible funeral home markers.
