From Blackfoot follow Bridge Street (Highway 26) west for four miles then turn left on Parks Road (200 N) for about two miles. The cemetery is on the right side just across the People's Canal. On August 29, 1895, the first death, Emma P. Grimmett, occurred at the Moreland townsite. As there was no cemetery site in Moreland, she was buried in the Riverside Cemetery but later was moved to the Moreland Cemetery. On 27 July 1897, William Marks Miles, an aged man from Orangeville, Utah, died. A small tract of ground was selected for a cemetery by Wilson Hatch. William T. England donated more land making about an acre of ground for the cemetery. In 1936 a Cemetery Maintenance District was created by the state to care for the cemetery.
