|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Originally a family cemetery of the Stiles family who built the mill at the outlet of the Pond that bears their name, it is located about 200 yards west of the cellar hole of their homestead and is now one of 9 cemeteries in, and maintained by, the town of Waterford.
There are many depressions indicating unmarked and/or removed graves; as well as other graves are marked by fieldstones without markings.
Of the 44 inscriptions here, the earliest birth recorded is the 1st John Stiles (1749-1818), his is also the oldest existant stone; the most recent burial is Frank Hutchinson (1835-1917). Transcribed 1980 by Eugenia Powers (1913-1985); reverified and corrected as needed 2008.
