A.K.A. Johnston Piney Grove Church Cemetery
An old afro-america cemetery, a short distance from Johnston Piney Grove Baptist Church located at 1691 Barber Mill Road, Clayton North Carolina. It is on the same side of the road as the church. It is in bad shape. Many of the headstones are broken or completely off the base. There are some face down (which I could not lift) and there many pieces mixed with concrete cinder box and debris.
The name I used was taken from the Johnston County Gene. and Historical Society; however, I have later seen many death certificates refer to this cemetery as Johnston Piney Grove.
