|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This is a city-maintained cemetery still in use. Hours are dawn to dusk. The cemetery was begun at the turn of the 19th/ 20th century. It was given the name "Forest Hill" in 1893.
The first recorded plot sold in the cemetery was November, 1905; however, there were some burials before then. Many older graves were moved from rural family cemeteries to Forest Hill, and may pre-date 1905. The Bouchelle family graves were moved from their property near Bouchelle Street and the First Methodist Church moved its cemetery from King Street to Forest Hill in the 1920's.
