History: "First Catholic church in Coloma was a log cabin built in 1850. The present St. John's church was completed in 1857. A burying ground was established on the hill side behind the church and the first known interment was Nov 24, 1860. Last interment was 1973. Church and Churchyard are now a part of the Coloma State Park.
Directions: "Traveling south on Hwy 49 as you start to leave Coloma you will come to a crossroads where Hwy 49 makes a sharp left turn. Here you will take the road to the right (west) which is Church Street. You will travel down Church St., past Emmanuel Church until you get to a right turn. St. John's church is on your left side."
