|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This family cemetery is located on a farm once owned by Nelson Aurand about 1/4 mile east of Ellen Chapel on L.R. 44001 (Ferguson Valley Road). It is situated approximately 600' off the north side of the highway and along the western side of a private lane running from the highway to the farmhouse. Surrounded by a split-rail fence with a small wrought iron gate at the entrance. In 1970 family members renovated the cemetery by clearing brush from the site, resetting tombstones and installing a new fence. Size: Approx. 100' x 60'. In addition to the Cevers listed here (also spelled Ceever or Keever), it is believed that other members of the family may be buried here in unmarked graves. (See memorials with *). The Cever family owned this farm from 1771-1829. Although the Markley monument for the family of John & Delilah Markley is placed in this cemetery, information from a family member in 1978 indicates that the bodies may have been removed and buried elsewhere.
