Cemetery notes and/or description: The Old Sugarland Cemetery is the cemetery for the Old Sagarland Church on the west side of Hwy.57 N., just south of the Prairie Creek bridge. Just north of the bridge and west of the Hwy. was Fort Lettsville built abt.1811-1813. I was told last night that the cemetery was also called the Lett Cemetery because a Lett donated the land for it.
