|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
At one time, this cemetery was referred to as the Cemetery on the Plains, then it was called South Cemetery. The sign at the entrance now says Pine Grove Cemetery. According to Edward Parker's "History of the Town of Brookline," it was in existence as early as 1766 when Brookline was called Raby. It is located about one mile south of Brookline's Town Hall.
