This cemetery is owned by the Town of Shutesbury. The 1840 Hearse House is the focal point of this cemetery and is one of the only two town buildings that pre-date the Civil War. In 2013, the town voted to use CPA monies to restore the building.
This cemetery is to the east of, and shares a border with, the Luther Henry Tomb Yard.
The Town of Shutesbury Board of Assessors refer to this cemetery in their maps and property record cards as Parcel IDs P-31, P-32, P-33, P-34, P-35, & P-36.
The Massachusetts Historical Commission refers to this cemetery in MACRIS as SHU800.
