|Springfield State Hospital Cemetery|
Also known as: Springfield Hospital Center Cemetery, Sunnyside Cemetery
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Located on the grounds of Springfield Hospital Center. This was the cemetery used for burial of patients by the Springfield State Hospital between 1899-1961. This is a complete listing of all known burials in the cemetery, taken directly from burial records at the hospital and compiled by Margaret Buchanan in 1983-84. The graves are marked only with small numbered stones, and those numbers are given in the plot field on each memorial listed here.
This cemetery is not to be confused with the Anatomy Board Grave Site, which is located at a different location on hospital grounds.
